Lemn Sissay, Poet & Playwrite

Lemn Sissay MBE is the author of several books of poetry alongside articles, records, public art, and plays. He was an official poet for the London Olympics.  His Landmark Poems are installed throughout Manchester and London, in venues such as The Royal Festival Hall and The Olympic Park. Sissay is associate artist at Southbank Centre, patron of The Letterbox Club and The Reader Organisation, and inaugural trustee of World Book Night.

Lucy Wood - Cape Farewell

Using creativity to innovate, Cape Farewell engage artists for their ability to evolve and amplify a creative language, communicating on a human scale the urgency of the global climate challenge. Cape Farewell are committed to the notion that artists can engage the public in the issue, through creative insight and vision.

 

"We are an artist led organisation. Since Cape Farewell began, we have invited artists and creatives to join the expeditions, which have explored arctic science, sustainable island communities, urban regeneration and the Cleantech industries. We offer a unique route for artist development, which has led to the creation of a raft of original and essential artworks, films, music, books and poetry."

Susan Coles, Arts Advocate

Susan Coles is an adviser, consultant, artist, school governor, critical friend, lecturer, advocate and activist for visual arts education.

 

Susan has been President of the National Society for Education in Art and Design and is currently Immediate Past President.

 

Susan is also secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Art, Craft and Design Education. She works across the UK in schools, colleges, universities and galleries and is also a popular speaker at Conferences and symposiums, in the UK and internationally. Susan supports the Arts Party wholeheartedly. "Art gave me my voice".
